Where do broken hearts go? Do they find their way home? –Whitney Houston
It’s been said that when hearts break, it don’t break even.
This is the tale of One heart that broke in 2 uneven parts; a love tale in reverse.
Everything was right until something broke and somebody started reversing. (s)He knows what path led to happiness but makes the wrong turn. (s)He knows what words made it right but says the wrong words. (s)He dodges all the pathways 2 traveled as 1; misses all the love angels. (s)He doesn’t arrive at the beginning but arrives somewhere new and makes that place home.
This is the tale of the heart that broke less even.
This is the tale of the heart that broke with the larger chunk
They are together but it feels lonely. Everything was right until someone changed. To make it right, (s)he starts to mirror the beginning. (s)He recognizes this path led to happiness so makes the right turn. (s)He knows what words made it right and says the right words. (s)He sticks to all routes 2 traveled as 1 but love angels are missing. (s)He arrives home but home is empty.
Home is not an empty place. Home is a place where souls co-habit harmoniously. Home is a place where the soul can be alone and not feel lonely.
Where do broken hearts go; do they find their way home? Depends on the meaning of home, but surely not to the waiting arms of the one they loved. Not to the comfort of a shared beginning.
Home is a place where someone can be alone and be at peace.
